UPVC Replacement Door Handles

Over time, the handles on your doors will get worn out and need to be changed. It is essential to match the dimensions of the old handles when replacing them.

Cylinder locks are typically used on uPVC doors, but can also be used on other types of doors. Euro cylinders can be fitted with up to six pins, with internal and external doors usually requiring different levels of security.

Some cylinders have extra features that can increase security, for instance, anti-drill or anti-bump properties.

To make sure that the euro cylinder is the right size for your door, it must be measured correctly. The cylinder needs to be measured from the screw hole at the center to the ends of the cylinder. This includes the thumb turn, should there be one. It is best to do this while the lock is in place, but when this isn't possible, you may take it off to measure. It is important to ensure that there is no cylindrical lock that extends beyond the handle or escutcheon. This can make it vulnerable to snapping lock attacks.

The majority of modern cylinders have been designed with bump and anti-drill features that are built into their design. They are designed to decrease the chance of attack by forcing cylinders to turn in a different direction. This can deflect the attack, and ensure your door is secure.

Certain cylinders are made to resist snapping.
